Wondering how to cover up those pesky dark spots before your night out? Concealers might do the trick but what’s causing these anyway? Well, dark spots result from excessive melanin production and that’s what hyperpigmentation is all about. It’s a total nightmare to deal with for both men and women alike.
Whether it’s from acne scars, sunburn or inflammation, these uneven textures are stubborn and do not fade fast enough, especially on darker skin. Looking for ways to eliminate these dark spots? There is a myriad of creams and serums on the market, but how do you know which one will work for sure?
Honestly, even I have struggled to find the right product to fight hyperpigmentation. After years of suffering, I found the solution in one thing only: vitamin C serum, and it finally made sense.
Why use vitamin C? Well to start off, it’s the gentlest, most natural exfoliator I could think of. Plus, it prevents aging and helps with the formation of new collagen. Thus, getting rid of the hyperpigmentation on my skin became a matter of weeks!
Everyone should reap the benefits of a good organic vitamin C serum. Sparing you the hassle of a long research, here are some of the best vitamin C serums that will help you treat hyperpigmentation from its first use.
TruSkin Naturals Vitamin C Serum
TruSkin Naturals Vitamin C Serum is a life-saviour. At a time when my acne-ridden skin was causing some serious case of hyperpigmentation, I resorted to this serum and it has shown some remarkable results indeed. So, what is it about this serum that fights hyperpigmentation like no other?
TruSkin Naturals Vitamin C is a milder version of some of the other Vitamin-C serums that I have come across. It is best for sensitive and acne-prone skin, lightening the acne spots and preventing skin breakouts. The ingredients itself are 98% natural and 72% organic, which makes it the best organic vitamin C serum in my eyes. This product is 100% paraben-free, petroleum derivatives-free, phthalates-free and has a total pH balance to protect your skin from all evil.
What’s worth highlighting is its botanical hyaluronic acid combination with vitamin C and E that synergistically works to get rid of some of the most common problems like wrinkles, dark circles, fine lines and, of course, hyperpigmentation.
Amara Beauty Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C Serum by Amara Beauty is one of those products you need to get your hands on stat and here’s why. This serum comes with a blend of vitamin C & E that creates a mighty barrier to protect your skin against environmental damage. The serum absorbs very quickly, leaving no greasy or sticky residue. Instead, you’ll feel a much softer and smoother skin within minutes.
Within the first week, I could feel a genuine lift on my skin. The wrinkles, fine lines had faded away, leaving me with a brighter and radiant glow.
If you’re still having doubts about this product, don’t worry since there’s a 100% money back guarantee. Your money is safe, so is your skin! Say goodbye to hyperpigmentation forever!

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Dry Skin Cocktail
There has been quite a bit of woo, and quite a bit of wow about the Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Dry Skin Cocktail and it is well-deserved. To start off, not only does it come in a pretty bottle, but it’s also specialized for dry skin. Life is hard enough for people with dry skin, but pair it up with hyperpigmentation, life’s almost unbearable.
So, this Lumene’s Bright Now Vitamin C Dry Skin Cocktail uses its superpower, Arctic Cloudberry to enrich your skin. Cloudberry is the ultimate, multi-tasking beautifying agent. Its age-defying seed oil is rich in omega acids that battle 24/7 to fight sources of weakness in your skin. The serum could give an orange a run for its money with its content of vitamin C.
Containing none of that parabens, formaldehyde, synthetic dyes and mineral oils, all of which are likely to irritate skin, the ingredients of this serum improves and smoothens skin visibly by diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. The serum works on brightening your skin first through extreme internal hydration to lighten the appearance of hyperpigmentation on your skin, gradually until it completely eradicates the issue.
Super Vitamin C by COUI Skincare
I have tried a lot of serums over the years, which includes some of the best sellers at Amazon or the high-rated ones from some dermatologists. Sadly, not all of them had shown the results they boasted about. Some serums were thick while others were too runny or generally ill-suited for my skin. But there’s one super serum that changed my life forever, and that is Super Vitamin C by COUI – the most natural vitamin C serum you’ll find out there.
The Super Vitamin C by COUI is perhaps the only serum that takes only one drop to cover my entire face. The consistency is just that great! It has also been truly helpful in eradicating the ugly under eye dark circles along with the hyperpigmentation. With all that it comes with, the best part is its vitamin C blend along with its SPF moisturizer that also works as an anti-aging serum.
In tune with that, you could opt for the Natural Vitamin C Serum as well. Also from COUI, it works as a great alternative to the Super C Serum. The L-Ascorbic Acid works the main active ingredient and a good exfoliator that, in turn, rejuvenates your skin.
All in all, I’m a huge fan of the COUI serums, as none of their products have ever fallen short of my expectations. And what’s better than being able to use the best serum for your skin? Sharing it with your partner. Both these products from COUI are designed to meet the needs for men’s skin as well, a highly distinguishing factor from the other serums indeed. If you’ve been looking for vitamin C serum for men, your search ends here!
How to Get Rid of Hyperpigmentation Naturally
Along with the serums, you can try a few natural but home remedies speed up your quest against hyperpigmentation.
Green Tea Extracts
It’s not that I’ve tried this, there’s even research about how helpful green tea extracts can be to depigment your skin. Follow these steps:
- Soak a tea bag in boiling hot water for 5 – 7 minutes.
- Take the tea bag out and allow the water to cool – you don’t want to burn your skin!
- Rub the wet tea bag over the dark patches.
- Repeat this at least twice a day until you get your desired results.
The lactic acid present in milk is a great ingredient to lighten skin discolouration. To treat pigmentation:
- Soak a cotton ball into some milk.
- Rub the cotton ball over the dark patches at least twice a day.
- Repeat until you receive your desired results.
Aloe Vera is one of my favorite ingredients to treat any skin issues. And depigmenting couldn’t get any better when Aloe Vera steps in the scene.
- Apply Aloe Vera gel on the pigmented areas before going to bed.
- In the morning, rinse off with lukewarm water.
- Keep repeating until your overall skin tone improves.
Hyperpigmentation is a cosmetic concern, which by the way, with proper treatment can be healed. Whether you prefer home remedies or a dermatologist tested serums to treat those awful dark patches, you should get started working on them right away.
